Mommy Likes b.box Essential Baby Box (Giveaway)

The Essential Baby Box by b.box

I want to introduce you to a great product by b.box. Any mom will tell you that changing a diaper while out and about can turn into an ugly scenario in a heartbeat.  You have the baby on one of those gross Diaper Depot’s at the store and you’re digging around in your diaper bag for a diaper, the wipes, all the while baby is wiggling around and you are trying not to get poop on everything you touch when you realize you need a little diaper cream and you have one hand and your bag fell on the floor and a toy slipped out…. you get the idea and I am pretty sure you have all been there!

The Essential Baby Box eliminates this whole “digging around for” situation by making everything you need ready and available in one compact case.  The box looks much like a portable wipes box but it is so much more.  You open the box up and inside you have a clean wipe-able mat to lay baby on.  On top of that, a spot for diapers and a flap to hold them in place. I also fit a good size tube of diaper cream in there too.  The other side holds your wipes, which are accessible from both inside the case and also when the case is close you can rip out a wipe for those nose pickers or sticky hands when you need one in a pinch. The Essential Baby Box is BPA, PVC and Phthalate free and made of durable and washable materials like polypropylene.

Want to hear something gross? For my baby shower my mother gifted me with a most fabulous Coach diaper bag. With it comes a tri-fold mat to change your baby on.  Nice right? No…it’s a fabric pad and image baby poop + wiggly baby on fabric with a foam core = ew.  Needless to say that’s long gone.  In it’s place is a Baby Box.  For review, b.box sent me their Essential Baby Box in the Falling Leaves design.  Before, I carried a big changing mat, a diapers and wipes bag and had diaper creams and balms floating around in my bag in various compartments.  Now it’s all secured up in one place which takes up a third of the room in my bag, not to mention my diaper bag weighs less now too.

  15. Susan says:

My biggest pet peeve about a diaper bag is the lack of a place to put it when changing a diaper! I love the idea of the little box that holds everything needed for just changing a diaper. I can grab that and leave the bag w/dad or where ever and not have it fall onto a nasty bathroom floor! Great invention!!!!!

  16. Jillian says:

My biggest pet peeve is having to lug the giant thing around. I end up storing my wallet, keys, phone, etc. in the bag. So much for my cute purses.

  17. Alex says:

Having to carry it around. Used to never carry a purse, now I have graduated to a BIG bag to carry everything possible.

i hate having to dig around in the diaper bag for diapers and then to have them ruined!!

  23. Melissa Phinney says:

My biggest diaper bag pet peave is that they are all made for disposible diaper users and formula fed babies! They have bottle holders and little dirty duds bags that are made for disposible dirty diapers, but none are made for the needs of the breastfed or cloth diapered baby! Whoever comes up with one, I know two dozen people off the top of my head that will purchase one!

  32. Feanna Drake says:

My biggest diaper bag pet peeve is that when I load it up and hang it on my stroller and then take baby out – the stroller tips over. I have to always remember to take the bag off first. I also dislike wipe holders that let the wipes dry out. This Baby Box looks great.

  33. Sarah says:

it is impossible to find anything, even if you remember which pocket you put it into.

  34. Ashlea says:

My biggest pet peeve about my current diaper bag is how hard it is to carry while holding a baby or even while holding my 16-month-old’s hand now that she wants to walk everywhere. With this next baby I’m definitely getting a backpack diaper bag!

  38. Darcy Nestorovic says:

Finding things of course! So hard to riffle around the big bag and find all your gear quickly. having it all in one handy dandy container would be fabulous!

  39. Nancy says:

My biggest pet peeve is how heavy the bag can get! For a baby-wearing mama (ie, no stroller), a heavy bag can kill the back. So, anything to lighten the load is welcome!

  40. Jennifer H. says:

I hate all the crumbs that accumulate in my bag. I swear, every week I dump/wipe out a whole bag of Goldfish!

  41. Clover says:

My pet peave is the changing pad in side the bag is not so clean and it just get shoved in the bag along with everything else. eeww.??

  42. Tiffany says:

A baby bag pet peave of mine is restocking! It seems like you get everything you need in there and then, in one long trip or a lot of little runs, it is gone and if you don’t restock you are left without the one key thing you need next time!

  43. Ana says:

Every time I bend down with the bag over my shoulder, the items that are on the outside pockets fell off the bad even though they are closed with a velcro! Now I don’t use the outside pockets and everything is stuffed inside!

  44. Melisa says:

Biggest pet peeve has to be how dang heavy my baby bag is! I feel like I bring too much and can’t find anything when I need it!

  45. Claudia says:

My biggest diaper bag pet peeve is dropping everything on the floor while trying to change a squirmy baby.

  46. Melissa Phinney says:
  47. Stephanie says:

I loved my diaper bag… actually I used an oversized, trendy, canvas printed handbag from Target as a subsitute diaper bag. It was a lovely natural shade with green print and green handles. Everyone complimented my bag, all the while most didn’t know it was my purse, diaper bag, and “hold all” for the essentials for our outing. One thing that would have been a pet peeve…I would have to say the “runaway soothie”. My daughter, oh how she loved her giant green silicone pacifier! We didn’t use it regularly, but when we needed it, the soothie had mysteriously jumped out of the pocket it was in! Of course we’d find it at the bottom, with all types of lint or crumbs that had settled in the bottom of our stylish bag, stickily attached to the cute silicone treat!!! It was exciting… of course, then the choice came to either let mommy “clean” it or find a place to rinse it! LOL! I would love this practical case for my next baby! Thank you ~ HUGE SAFEMAMA FAN!

  48. Lisa says:

I hate digging for everything, starting the diaper change and then realizing you forgot to grab something essential and have to dig again with one hand! It would be so nice to have the one organized box :)

  49. cara says:

I hate when my wipes dry out and that as big as my bag is it never seems big enough!!!!

  50. Kristin G. says:

Biggest diaper bag pet peeve is that my Stork Sak has too many small pockets and no direction as to how to utilize them. Some direction on organization would be nice.

  51. Kristin G. says:

    I am fan on FB.

  52. Rebecca M. says:

My biggest diaper bag pet peeve: Too many of them fall apart at the seams after only a couple of months.

  53. Ursula Grobler says:

i must say i’ll be a mommy for the third time in June and really never had any pet peeve’s but this would be a lovely gift for my husband who always struggles when send to the bag to fetch the baby stuff.

  54. Lisa says:

I just hate carrying around that big bag. My son is 2 now and almost potty trained so this would be perfect!

  55. Melissa Phinney says:
  56. Ashley says:

Not having a diaper bag. I lost mine at a park and never got one yet. My purse seems to be working though in the meantime.

  57. Bonnie says:

my pet peeve would be how useless all those small compartment (bottle holders, clear plastic wallet for diapers) – bottle holders don’t fit all the size bottles, etc.

  58. Esther76 says:

My biggest diaper bag pet peeve is having it slip off my arm a countless number of times, as I struggle to my destination with my little one tagging contently behind. All the while, in my mind, I am blowing a light fuse.

  59. Shelley says:

Although not a mom myself … I AM a new auntie (brother & wife welcomed baby Girl Olivia, 7lbs in early March ‘10) and girlfreind of mine is due in Sept ‘10 (1st baby!) Nonetheless, every time I see the Changing Station set-ups in ladies’ rooms I personally CANNOT imagine using one without, a the least, a clean washable changing pad brought from home and, of course any necessities. We ALL see the frequency at which people (yes, even the ladies) DON”T wash their hands before exiting the restroom. This combined with the fact the people seem to be increasingly unaware and/or lazy about simply washing, sanitizing their hands before and after eating, working with food, using the ladies room really makes you think… I don’t see the Baby Changing Stations as being any better/cleaner and I certainly would want to do everything possible to ensure my/a little one was protected the best way possible! whew. ok, end of my novel! :)

  60. Melissa Phinney says:
  61. Julie A. says:

My biggest pet peeve about my diaper bag is simply having a diaper bag. I wish a baby didn’t require so many things, but I know that is all part of it. Wouldn’t trade it for anything!

  69. Erika says:

  78. Linda says:

My biggest pet peeve is no matter how hard I try my diaper bag is never organized. I try and then as soon as a I know it I need something super quick and can’t put it back nicely like it was before, then its a domino effect..everything is everywhere.

  79. Christy says:

I could’ve used this on Sunday – walking around REI – trying to not carry the whole big diaper bag by only carrying the pad, a diaper & wipes box – except I kept dropping one or more of the 3 items – ugh! I would LOVE to have a tool like this in my arsenal!
