Cool Gear Travel Potty
Having a newly potty trained child, I was forewarned that he’d find the need to show off his skills at every single public bathroom in America. And of course, this means in areas where you not only lock your door, but where stopping at red lights is merely a suggestion, or in an area where there’s no bathroom for miles and miles. I thought about buying one one of our current potties and keeping it in our car, but with two strollers and a bin full of emergency supplies, space is at a premium. My friend came across Cool Gear Travel Potty, and ordered one to have on hand when they made their monthly trip out to her in-laws. I figured she could be the guinea pig and I’d let her daughter be the test driver, and if it was good, I’d order one myself.
Cut to last week, we were at the park one day, and my son was frantically doing “the dance” and adamantly telling me he didn’t have to “go.” I knew by the looks of him, we’d never make it to the other side of the park where the bathrooms were. Thankfully, my friend came to the rescue with the foldable travel potty.
I simply took him to a secluded area nearby, quickly set up the potty and let him do his business. She totally saved the day!!
Needless to say, I’ve since ordered one to have on hand for long car trips. Or trips to the park.
The travel potty contains everything you need, for on the go potty use. It folds up compact and unfolds easily. The handles for kids to hold onto are actually the baggie compartments. Simply open up one of the sides, grab a bag and snap it in under the seat and you’re ready to go.
One small drawback is that the hole is a little on the small side, so if your kid is a little older, this may pose a problem, but overall, it gets the job done when you’re traveling or in emergency situations.
We’re happy to have one travel potty to give away to one lucky winner.

I really don’t have a “most embaressing” story as we have only just begun potty training, but I gotta say I very much don’t like how she pees on us or the step stool but not in the potty
even after sitting on the potty for a long time! It’s like she’s plotting it!

My daughter (who just turned 2) didn’t want to pee in her panties so instead she stood on our front porch, pulled down her pants and proceeded to pee ‘like a boy’ on the new welcome mat we bought a week ago.

We’re just getting started, but a few times I’ve been peed on already….not fun!

We have been very fortunate with potty training so far. However, I got pretty bold one evening and we put him in big boy pants to go shoe shopping. We found some shoes and he had them on as we were paying. As my husband lifted him to the counter to show the checker the shoes, he noticed my son’s wet shorts and legs. We made a comment to the checker that it was a good thing we were buying those shoes, ha ha! And then got out of there. My husband then told me that he pretended not to see the little wet spot in the carpet. Ah, the joys of potty training!

We’ve just started with potty training so this would be perfect for us. I don’t have a story right now since we are only beginning.
My daughter, age 2 1/2, was sitting on my lap and I asked her if she needed to go poyyt. She said no, and about two minutes later peed on my lap! Luckily we were just at home so not too embarassing but sooo gross.
No funny story yet, as we just started with the idea of a potty…the travel potty above would be very useful!

My daughter is just starting to potty train. She’s constantly talking about poop in public. If I try to shush her, or tell her to hold on, she keeps getting louder and louder. Pretty soon, she’s yelling “I have poop. Poop!”

I don’t know that i have an embarrassing potty moment. They mostly have just been frustrating. We are on the go a lot. I homeschool and work fulltime so you never know when we’ll be around a potty next. My 3 year old has mostly mastered number 1, number 2 doesn’t ever make it. Ugh! carter918@gmail.com
My daughter is 21 months old and I think we are going to start potty training this summer. I am so scared!

My daughter hasn’t started potty training yet but my most my most embarrassing potty moment involves my godson. When he was potty training, he was quite messy so his mother decided to strip him down naked each time. I was not aware of this “procedure”. So, when I took him to the Ex for the day and took him into the public bathroom he had a fit while pulling off his clothes because I tried to stop him (I mean, he was taking off his shoes and socks in a public bathroom!) So he ran out of the stall naked in a public bathroom screaming “I want my mommy” making me look like a stranger. I had to explain why he was naked and that I was his godmother. I was so stressed out.
Oh … what a GREAT giveaway and perfect timing for us since we are about to REALLY start potty training! This would also help us SO SO much this summer when we take our road trip from Texas to New York to see family. I have tried exposing the potty to her the last couple of months. This is not that embarrassing, but we were at the library and I needed to use the restroom. I took care of my business and my daughter said, “Good girl … mommy get FOUR M&Ms.” The lady in the next stall was laughing. When Alyssa did go pee or poo in the potty she earned an M&M since she LOVED them so much. Don’t worry I don’t encourage her to eat a lot of sweets. Thank you for posting this giveaway.

Most embarassing… waiting in line at the gas station while traveling with my toddler. She could hold it no longer and proceeded to mess her pants with number 2. When we finally made it into the bathroom, she screamed bloody murder when I removed her soiled pants. I can only imagine what the people in the store were thinking. This travel potty would have been so much better!

I love the stories! We will be starting the potty training journey this summer and this would come in so handy with our car trips. I can only imagine the stories we will have with our little guy!

My son finally became interested in potty training (he turned 3 a few months ago). He had a problem with having accidents when playing outside because he didn’t want to stop playing to go inside and pee. My husband decided to teach him how to pee outside. This was great until today when my 1 1/2 year old decided to investigate while my older son was peeing. When I noticed what they were doing they both had pee all over their clothes and shoes. Of course they didn’t understand why I was so mad! Oh boy.

No embarrassing story YET, but I know there will be some soon enough! Just starting with potty training… I’m worried about potty-ing while out and about, though, b/c he won’t sit on the potty without his seat on it! He’s afraid he’ll fall in, even if we’re holding onto him. So, this would be really nice to have while out!

As a mama to little boys, I have always appreciated the ease of them having the luxury of just going anywhere in an emergency in the early potty training phase. On one such event, I knew we wouldn’t make it to the bathroom driving down the highway, so we pulled over and used a ziploc baggie left over from a snack. Needless to say, my “bright” idea bit me in the buns later when my son announced what ziplocs were “really for”.
No stories yet- we are just about to start training… and dreading it. Although when we ask out son if he’s pooping (as we know he is) he tries to convince us he’s just ‘farting’.

No horror stories yet — still pregnant w/ our first! But we are planning on trying elimination communication, so a travel toilet will come in handy pretty early!

I have 5 kids so I have had my share of potty training stories. Although it is not embarrassing I can remember my panic when my kids have waited in line to use a port-o-potty and then when it is our turn they take one look and say “no way!”. This potty sure would be cool to have since I am now training twins!
We will be starting PT this summer, so hopefully we can avoid any awful situations!

What a great giveaway!!!
Embarrassing story – we had some friends over and I guess we were too busy to notice that she was doing the ‘funny’ dance and next thing we know she had peed on herself BUT for some reason she decided to go sit on our leather couch where our friends had left their jacket AND yeah we had to throw the jacket in the laundry as it was all wet….we couldn’t let them go home that way.
We went into NYC, thinking our two year old would totally be fine..she had nto had an accident in a month. We were good. Wrong. Mayeb it was the sight of those big ol’ dinosaurs, or the indigineous people in the Old World exhibit, but my child went through the three pairs of pants I bought with me (and my girlfriend and husband had thought I packed too much for a day trip!), all the undies and socks. The poor thing couldnt hold it together. It was not until 4 accidents later I decided a pull-up may be in order. MOMMY BRAIN!
Well, I just started to get my son (2 years old) aquainted with our new potty chair. I was getting him ready for his evening bath (ie: he was running around his room naked) while I ran the water. At this time, the chair was located downstairs in the living room, we were upstairs. All of the sudden I hear him say “poopy, poopy” and I go into his room and he had pooped on the floor, and must have tried to wipe himself as he had poop all up and down his arm. I was mortified. I called for my husband who bravely cleaned up the poo, while I bathed our son.
