Once my son grew past 5T, the pajama selection in stores turned more into flame retardant polyester pants as my option for the most part.  Save for a couple of Boys size 6-8 Spongebob cotton jammies that were practically day glow.  Who knows what kind of dyes are in those.  I had a really hard time finding something and quickly realized my day of affordable cotton pj’s were over.  I however found a  better option at Hanna Andersson.
